Something a wee bit different from me. I ventured into Glasgow as I heard Kingfishers were very obliging and a park where noisy parakeets live. OMG I REALLY hate driving in town, arrived at the Kelvin just after 9 and took me almost 2 hours of walking up and down to discover a kingfisher right under my nose but had a dipper to keep me busy until I finally spotted it. It's a VERY busy place with dog walkers, joggers and tourists yet the kingies don't seem phased


Then it was 5 mins down the road to Dawsholm Park....no peace and quiet there either with these noisy buggars



Am glad I went but NEVER again as I like my peace and quiet

Kingfishers, a dipper and parakeets, Wow Linda, that was an awesome haul.

An impressive set of photo's Linda. Well that's 3 more... species I am going to struggle to find...

Lovely stuff Linda, seen parakeet, but never got a pic (once at studland and once in London when we visited Hampton Court Palace), an as you know... Me n dippers...!!!

Excellent photos of the Kingy but my prize goes to the Dipper

Thanks PB, it was like standing round a campfire (well a log really) waiting for the to come down out the trees so obviously used to being fed by us humans...dippers...see them here see them there see them everywhere...no?

Aww thanks JS it was lovely watching the dipper dipping in and out the water, even a wee bit of swimming
