Me and Mrs PB are off on hollibobs Saturday, lucky enough to be on a Norwegian Fjord cruise. As there's no specific "wildlife" sections of the cruise, or excursions, I was wondering if anyone has done anything similar, and if there was anything to see from on board... eg is it worth lugging the big lens for chance encounters, or should I just stick to little landscape-y lenses?

You may get a sighting of the Norwegian Blue Parrot. Beautiful plumage.

If you don't see a parrot you might get the chance of a talking Slug.

If you are doing runs ashore you might want a general lens - I think leaning towards architecture etc - Trondheim cathedral is quite special from what I have seen - my brother lives in Trondheim
