I once read somewhere that anyone who says they crept up on a raptor is deluded and I agree but ....

Just got back from an evening stroll up the lane, caught a first for the patch on the walk.

Been a good day, on the patch and out and about. I set off for one of my reservoir walks this morning, drove down the lane and at the bottom I spotted a small flock of birds keeping ahead but landing often so, I stopped and grabbed a few shots.
Came back from the walk and uploaded the photos to find I'd got a Spotted Flycatcher and youngsters, I think. the youngster shot was through the car windscreen but I think it is a young SF!!! Woop woop photos to follow
