It's not too bad once you get used to it. If you do everything you want to for a set of photo's while on the upload screen: Title, Description, Tags, Groups & Privacy It's far quicker than going into them individually after they are uploaded. These fields will be common across some or all of the photo's so select them and make the field entry once for those photo's selected.

I have a list of common tags I paste in, I add to this the title and location from the description. Helps people find your photo when they are searching for something.

Adding to a group puts your photo's in the feeds of those people that follow the group. People who follow you also see your photo's in their feed.
