Stepped out this morning in the frost and first thing was: I heard a wren, quite close and quite voluble

), stepped outside carefully - frosty - and the/a wren was shouting its head off agen

Strangely, I only heard it on that one occasion yesterday. Hope it's come to stay for a while

Spotted a goldcrest flitting about my hedge this morning. Went on the larger garden and then the smaller one.
