It may take a while for your local birds to find the new food source coupled to the fact that this time of year is traditionally quiet for garden birds.
If and when we get some more extreme weather conditions I would expect your facilities to get more patronage. :)

Johnd, I have to say that your total enthusiasm for your newly-found interests in wildlife and now gardening absolutely fills me with joy. I find your excitement very energising - you make me smile - and I'm so so looking forward to hearing about each step along the way.

I guarantee you won't regret either hobby - they can last a lifetime :goodvibes:

This morning I have a happy bunny. We had a robin on our bird feeder this morning for a couple of visits. My kids were very happy :)

:) It's a start. Thank your for the kind comments and I have been surprised by how my interest grew in wildlife. I am still a long way behind in knowledge but I will carry on learning. I find it fascinating and enjoyable.

I was most not impressed to see a female black cap just now. She'd smacked into my window and is dead. I haven't seen black caps for a long while and so I'm a bit sad :(
Poor Mr Black cap, all on his own now.
