The good news from my garden is, the blue tits have fledged and seem to be doing well, active and following the parents all the time, harassing them :D . The bad news is, one of the parents have a bald patch on the head :( . At first I though the parent looks just a bit disheveled (which it does, after this hectic time) but they landed close to me earlier and I saw them up close, and noticed the parent's head half bald. It has feathers only on top of head. Little ones look healthy though. And the parent doesn't show any signs of being unwell, its very active, flying, eating, feeding babies ...
So sad to see though :( .

Probably a mite. I see them quite a lot on my feeders.

Speaking of which, my first bluey fledglings have turned up today :)

I haven't seen that bird again, we can only hope it recovers :(
