Sorry to ask a silly question Willpar but how do you know your youngsters are from three different litters?

A question Willpar. Am using chicken with jelly dog food which seems to be the fav for my hedgies (have tried many combinations). They don't seem to appreciate the specialist Hedgie foods and quite often leave the dried mealworms. Can you advise of how much food you put out per hedgie please (started off with four but I only have two at the moment).

Hi Bikey, usually it is a bit hit and miss as to how much food to put out. Sometimes food is left over or all eaten. that was how I measured mine, if all eaten put out a bit more, if not a bit less. But I would say a pretty good guide for a medium size one would be one of those tin foil cat food dishes full. Not the dog as they are deeper. They are the tin foil trays like you get in lidl. I used to keep those trays for food. Now I use proper dishes. But that is a good guide, an if need be can vary it as to how much is eaten or not.

Went out with the last of the food tonight, quite heavy rain also. Under the hedge was three hedgehogs, maybe keeping dry. Two young juveniles with my mark and a medium size one no mark. Took it in to mark. Did not weigh it, being medium size it is ok.
