They were actually right next to the pond so a bit of gusty wind and they could have be in it!!!

I went out to lock my potting shed doors tonight much later than usual and right at the door is my buddleia ..must have had about 10 large yellow underwing moths on it....seems its busier at night than during the day!!!
Tried to take a pic or 2!!

Nice to know it has a nightshift Linda, I do see some day flying moths on buddleia as well.
