The haggis legend is great and the FB page set up is really funny.
He (I think he's a he) is less than 24 hours old, maybe quite a bit less but hard to tell when they are born at around that time late night/early morning. He is going to be one to watch though. Last years first one took many months before he came close to me. This one wasn't phased at all.
On the old RSPB forum I used to post a kestrels nest for a few years. Whilst the old P900 was running on the nest I used to go to the other side of the field and sit with the cobs. Probably my favourite moments, both with the expectation of what the camera may hold for my favourite animal and the times with the mischievous cobs.
What a brilliant set Bob. Funnily enough I had focussing issues on the Brownsea trip, but realised somehow I'd switched the focus limiter stitch on, so the lens would only focus on stuff more that 30 feet away.... luckily I've done that before (and no doubt will again!) so knew what to check for

Ta PB. Still not sure where I went wrong. Sorted itself out the day after, probably me doing something silly. It wouldn't be the first time

A few odds and sods from the weekend. Had a problem focussing properly for some reason, especially on the blackcaps and young thrush but hey ho!
A pain when the gear doesn't seem to perform properly Bob, still a great set of photo's.
