Amazing footage.

I would be interested to know if it managed to eat it's catch as the Stickleback's name suggests they are prickly customers.
I saw one of my Blackbirds catch a fully grown Common Newt and often seen them getting tadpoles.
P.S. I rescued the newt because the bird had absolutely no chance of the making a meal of it.

I have still only seen one blackbird chick although I still think there is a second one somewhere.
The one has been playing hide and seek with it's Dad but so far unsuccessfully.

Thanks snappy. It finally came close enough for my old camera to cope.

I have seen the same baby today along with it's dad beavering away to find food. The female flies in occasionally always going to the same place a few feet away from the nest site. Her charge seems a lot more sedentary and I've yet to spot it.

48 hours and no sightings of any fledglings. I'm still seeing adults but none seem to be getting food for anyone but themselves.

Yesterday I drove across to Builth Wells - it's mostly B roads, uphill down dale and wriggly and I don't ever remember seeing quite as many Blackbirds as I did - nipping in and out of hedges, along road edges - mostly males being busy -I hope its a good sign along with hedges being cut differently and new plantings
