Was offered them, but turned them down many ears ago. But could do with another test to see how bad it has got. Have the old white noise all the time.

I have tinnitus in my left ear too. I find the aids help blank it out. Get another test and a pair of aids. I get mine from the NHS so they are free and perfectly OK for the job.

Will try an email to the docs, to get an appointment. Dont really want to go to the surgery is all the way into Plymouth city centre.

The Docs will usually give you a referral without much ado. They may ask whether you want to go to the NHS audiologist or SpecSavers. You can get NHS aids from SpecSavers free of charge now. It comes down to which is the most convenient and the shortest wait for an appointment.

Before the pandemic started i asked specsavers about an appointment and told them my situation. The answer was they did not do the type of test the HHS does so i would have to go with them. Don`t know if that has changed now.

I don't know either. Get a phone appointment with your :duck: and ask him or her.
