Had some good spots while out this morning. a holly blue and large white, two orange tip and four peacock. None stayed put long enough to get any clips.

Another painted lady this morning, making three this year. A mention for the speckled wood, that I hardly ever do, is the most common one I am seeing so far.

I am really surprised by the Painted Ladies. I think they may have hibernated.

Was thinking that myself JS. If our winters are getting warmer, then they can find shelter until spring.

Good for mid April. I'm hoping all butterflies have a good year this year.
