Thanks PB. I was happy with the photos of got of this rather small butterfly. But more happy to have seen it at all, having never seen one. This summer was great for me an butterfly spotting.

Thanks Snappy, glad you liked it. Certainly one of my best spots of the year. It was a good summer for me an butterflies this year. I must add up how many species I saw or photographed.

Not strictly wildlife. These pheasant chicks were born in the wild and not farmed. The mother was keeping them under control as they moved around the estate for some weeks. I think she managed to keep a few of them.

Another first for me this year, saw these in numbers which was quite a nice change. Purple Hairstreak Butterfly.
