Hi Placi. The cranesbill are looking pretty good at the moment. Went out last night with some liquid feed for them. I see on one of the plants there are two sets of buds. So will get some flowers. Cant see any buds on the rest of them though. Yes, a pity about the orchids.

Critters and flowers.

Wotta lotta stuff !! Wotta lotta exploding poppies all over every available piece of wasteland and/or rubble. Prefer the foxglove and the bee arrived right on time.
The blue clump of pulmonaria, absolutely covered in bees. Obviously having a good summer.
Someone has left the very last strawberry - probably a blackie .
Everlasting peas and peas flourishing down Devon way .......
Loved the linaria . Beautiful specimen. Not to be confused with the agrimony which followed and which isn't quite as pretty .
I would run a mile from an advancing front of cows - very dangerous . Looked as though they meant it.
A thistle - to celebrate Bannockburn no doubt.
And the bestest poppy of all right at the end - I'm a big fan of the single ones but don't much care for the exploding varieties.

Thank you placi. The blue clump of polmonaria is where i got my plants from in early spring. Have had some flowers on one of them. I like that blue colour, is very intense. Had to look up linaria and agrimony, but nice flowers. I liked the pale pink of the sweet peas, those were in another lane i walk. I was behind a gate where the cows were. They were farther down the field, but came up when they had seen me. Dont know what the caterpillar was, but guess it was a moth one. Very large though. Must have been a couple of inches long.

I left the caterpillar to Jacksparrow ..... he knows about such thingies
