The graphics on the BBC weather report intimated that my area would benefit from a decent fall of snow overnight. We did get a covering but barely half an inch. Most of it was gone by lunchtime and the remainder by tea.

Very hard frost and freezing conditions. Sun shone all day, but was very cold. Even the water in the garden stayed iced up.

Yes, same here, its been just a bit warmer day, ice has melted, birds happier
