I had our 1st batch of sqwaking Starling babies this afternoon. Poor mums, back and forth to the bunker top to open beaks. They were walking over and standing in a shallow bird bath, looking at it, even had a ***** in it, no clue yet!! Nice to see them, for all that.

We have Siskin youngsters, they're wee buggers to ID, just look like females but, I was sure I had a young male earlier, just saw a female? youngster being fed :yes:

I appear to be having a new wave of young 'uns. The first wave came about 3 weeks ago now another smaller wave has been present over the last three days.
