Ever wished you hadn't started something? :pot:
So if I'm understanding this loins thing properly the term loins is just a posher sounding name for the thick bit  Meanwhile Placi has introduced us to cod cheeks and I'm not going to ask where on the fish they come from as I enquired about Cod balls once and the conversation took a very unsavoury turn.

Bikey, don't carp on about it.

Jacksparrow: honestly, no, honestly, cod cheeks are just that. Literally, the facial cheeks of a cod.
And I theeeeenk there may be a differentiation 'twixt loin and loins, culinary and literary.
As for unsavoury all I can say is that less sugar and a little more Bovril may solve your real or imagined experience but anyway, thanks for sharing :( .

So Cod cheeks are what is says on the tin. One can never be too sure of these things in the culinary world and I'm obliged to Placido for clearing the matter up. Cheeks don't sound as though they'd provide much of a meal so I hope my local chippy never gets to hear of them.

Do cod have the same number of cheeks as us humans? Sorry to bum around but this should be debated in Parliament. Mind you there is a lot there and I am not talking cod cheeks.
