The beast is back ,

Well, it was lovely here toady ; 56F, sunny and warm enuf to shed a layer.
I repotted a small grove of 10 satsumas into a larger container and we all enjoyed every minute of it .

Quite bright here today with some nice sunny periods.

Das beast from the east Mk2 has arrived.

Das beastie (2) is here too and right now is spreading white stuff all over .
Reached max 39F toady .

Snowing constantly since last night but mostly just huge flakes whirling around in the wind and not settling for very long.

Had huge flakes here as well nuthatch. Never settled though.

Think it must have begun around 6 pm last eve. Snowed all night and stopped at 9 am toady. About 4 inches. Very cold, wind knife-like, 32F.

First feed and a f. blackbird immediately came to eat right at my feet . Spoke to her and she didn't turn a fevver .

Forecast is for a thaw tomorrow .
