Was blinking freezing first thing this morning. The south easterly wind was that cold ice was forming on the puddles.
I did take a nice walk this morning though. Knew i had to put on something to keep the cold out. So put on my thermal socks, covered them over with my thermal boots. Put on my thermal jacket and a hat and covered that with the coat hood. and then my thermal gloves.
I stepped outside and set forth. Crying out " bring it on winter". I got less than half way around the walk and i was all lovely and warm and cozy, with the added sunshine it felt like summer. Not a shiver in sight. When i got back home, i delighted in the fact that i ventured out on the coldest day of the year so far. Not bad for a southerner i thought.

Not quite so cold today, but cold enough. The wind had dropped at bit from yesterday. No sunshine though.
