Tell him to go for it Jacksparra. At worst he can claim the he was trying to find the rightful owner !! :) :) I'd love to keep the gifts left by my Magpies and Sturklings, but most of it is rubbish plastic so I have to collect it up and dispose of it in the recycle bin (maybe that is their plan :) ) Can't imagine why birds might think that plastic is important to humans ???? Wish they'd adapt the old idea of gold and silver. :) :)

Uncle wore his newly acquired shirt today and is very pleased with it. He has just found an unopened packet of boxer shorts which he swears he never bought though does admit to wanting some a while back. I am a little sceptical and think that his usually excellent memory may have let him down this time.

This is going very well - have a look in the spare room, there might be a new wardrobe to keep all uncle's new stuff in :).

All Hallows Eve. I wonder if Uncles "lodger" will be active tonight. I will ask when I see him on Saturday.

Halloween came and went without anything occurring but since then there has been a little mischief. My uncles car keys vanished from their usual storage place. He conducted a search of any likely places the keys could have slipped to but to no avail. He knows from long experience that searching never reveals where stolen things have been hidden so gave up. A few days later he decided to pop next door and selected a pair of shoes he seldom wears for the journey only to find the lost keys stuffed up inside the toecap. He says he had moved the shoes earlier in the day while hoovering and they weren't there then. On a positive note a rather nice tweedy trilby style hat has appeared on top of his wardrobe. He is slightly miffed as it is a little too big. :(

Shurely shomeone's 'avin' a larf. A trilby-type hat ?? For uncle ??
I had envisioned him in a Breton-style beret with black and white striped top, lovingly tending the vineyards on the southern slopes of Le Chateau ..... non ??
