It sets quite well placi with the atora suet. I let it cool off a while then put it on the glass shelf in the fridge. It sets nicely, not rock hard like some fats go, softish but don't run. This morning I put out the jar at 9am, by 1pm it was all gone, That was real fast, so they must like it.

Sounds like a job for Honest Placi Enterprises c/o the Wee Glen. It can't be more work than making Heather Brew.

Just ordered another supply of mealworms for my bird buddies. What I usually get is not in stock. Large mini and small regulars are not listed. Just mini and regulars.

I have noticed that during the recent poor weather the food I supply has been very popular with my visitors. I'm assuming it is because the insects are in short supply. I've had my first Goldfinch fledglings attending the the SF Hearts feeder. It doesn't take them long to catch on to where the easy meal is to be found.

Goldies !!!

Wonderful, Jacksparrow

.
My population has soared too, presumably because of the weather. Baby sparrows abound and blackies are taking back beaksful of suet pellets to the nests.

For reasons best known to themselves every year my sparrows go through a period of wasting the seed mix in the hanging feeders. They get through copious amounts most of which ends up on the ground. I have no idea what prompts them to be so wasteful

My feral pigeons usually benefit from any fallen/dropped food but for some reason they are ignoring the majority of it.
I know that this time of year natural food is at it's most plentiful and my offerings are just a top up but why waste it if you're not that hungry?
