Thought it may have been a painted lady but was not sure. The baby blackie was over the village, could not pass up on the chance to video it. Could fly but only a couple of yards. Hopefully will make it, don't see any cats around over there. But then it is not only cats.

Hopefully the parents are still feeding it, it looked so young , but I've never seen blackbird fledgling so I can't tell if it looks like it was around the time when they would be ok if they left the nest

You have now. They usually have a tail if they fledge at the correct time. I think the one in willpar's video had probably been bundled out about a week too soon. Sometimes they leave the nest early if the nest is being predated. We will never know.

The zoom switch on your camera makes an audible click which all the birds seem to hear. How far away was the Pheasant?

Hi Jacksparrow. I have heard a click now and again, must be the zoom motor. Don't think it happens all the time. Pheasant was around four yards away.

I would have thought the Swan would not be very happy with those Gulls lurking.

Certainly seems to be a crowded area. Maybe the ducks are at greater risk than the swan.
