Springwatch is back!!

Live from the Cairngorms on Monday 27th May with four 90-minute shows starting at 7:30pm on BBC Two, then back to the usual one hour shows for the following two weeks - Monday 3rd to Thursday 13th of June.

Thanks kev, been wondering when it starts.

Only 2 left in the nest box , I'm watching them as I type this, missed the rest fledging
Its a bit nerve wrecking, one still looks a bit unwell ....

I didn't think they looked ready to go yet.
The 2 left look ok. Can't see any signs of them being runty or poorly. Hopefully the parents can count and they know there's a couple left in there! (just as I wrote that one of the parents came back)

Oh parents know, for sure, I've seen both of them in the nest at the same time feeding them, they are really working hard to reassure them and get them to fledge, they are really good . You are right Kev, they look ok, but I'm just a bit worried because one of them looks like he/she is sleepy . Maybe they are just nervous, they are cuddled together in one corner most of the time, could be trying to comfort each other?
Edit: forgot to say ... I've seen one of them (the more alert one) peeking out few times, but than coming back inside, thinking "nope, don't think so "

Its getting late in the day and they still haven't fledged, I'm really worried now . Will the parents still continue to feed them tomorrow?

Hopefully they'll be brave enough to go at first light.

Oh I hope so! I'm really going to pray for these 2 little ones.

It was comforting to see parents feeding them just before the dark. I'm glad its 2 of them, if it was only one left it would have been so stressful for the little one . But they are snuggled up tonight so thats comforting.

Pretty sure they've gone. Unless they're in the very bottom of the box out of shot but it looks empty so they're off in to the big wide world
