Nice to see the young goldfinch Linda, we have a few about now. I have one of those ground feeder cages under a tree, I wonder if I move it into the open more it will get more customers I can't remember the last time we had a chaffinch in the garden.

Thanks SM, I only got the cage a month or 2 ago as the magpies were getting into all the feeders and I had enough of them
It works well just to the side of the bay tree as I had it further back almost under it and I caught a cat pouncing out from under bay tree a couple of times...no having that!!!

Nice to see the birdies out and about. We had a dull start this morning but the sun came out and stayed, only disappeared a short while ago, and it is meant to be hot all this week, mid 20's, I will take that thank you very much! Hope you get some down your way asit will probably be the last!
Oh cmon CL...no need to tell me 3 times ...ano your excited about the mini heatwave and its gonna last 3 days ....typical as kids go back to school here on Thursday so the noise out the back shall resume....its been a peaceful 6 weeks!!!

Oh lordy me, dunno what I did, I tried to edit something, then misspelt something other.......posted 3 times! Schools go back next Tuesday here. Yes a mini heatwave it will be here and gone in a flash! Are you going to go out after dark and see the things that we are meant to see only once every 133 years!! Too cloudy last night. You are meant to lie on your back for 20 minutes to let your eyes adjust, think I will give that one a miss. Lovely open skies up here so may have a chance of seeing something.

A missed most of yesterday as was totally floored with a migraine will need to make the most of the good weather today I guess before its gone !!!
