It was yesterday actually ..... I have been discovered by a song thrush  :rara: :roses: !! It arrived, was bombed by a m. blackbird, performed a tactical retreat, came back and managed to do a Taste Test which was seemingly awarded a wings up. Caught sight of it in the gloaming, just sat sitting there on a low branch right above the evening feed. I'll check for it this evening :)

Well done Placi  All too rare a visitor nowadays. As you said the welcome from the resident BBs is seldom very warm so visits, by necessity are often very fleeting. :)

I might be wrong on this one but is was a small robin sized bird. Black and white with a long tale which moved up and down as it bobbed along. Possible wagtail?

What's the difference between a pied wagtail and a while wagtail?

I still have one nipping in and out for a bite to eat. Seems to like the mini muffins best. Even though I have out fat balls and blocks.

My first Blackcap sighting this winter was a male but now I am joined by a delightful female. I haven't seen the male for a few days. They are both attracted by SF hearts.
