further to Placi's comments I would like to add another reason as to why OD cricket is now the "Pajama Game". The cricket teams have seized on the idea that supporters will buy replica kit and this brings much needed funds into the coffers. I'll admit this appears to have brought in a kind of football match feel to limited over cricket rather than the polite applause the traditonalists yearn for. Whether this is good or bad as Placi says is down to opinion but the aim is to get bums on seats which the 4 day game seldom does.

Mmm ah yes, I'd forgotten about Packer - it felt as though we were being taken over but I suppose he 'had a vision'
The names and numbers on the back

even footballers didn't used to have the names on the back and commentators had more preparation to do before a match familiarising themselves with who had what number

I saw on the news that this coming year is the year of the Sheep/ Ram or Goat depending on what part of China you come from. I like Year of the Sheep personally as it sounds nice and cuddly.

Dragon ...... hmmmmmm ..... No, Nuthatch, you don't strike me as being a Dragon - anyway that's not a zodiac sign.
Dunno what my Chinese birth year symbol was.
Well well, doncha live an' learn: just googled it and there it is: The Rooster !!! I'm a bird

I like that. Maybe a wet hen would be more appropriate.
