And then looked a bit like an eye on a big pacman looking to eat something in return

Back in 1999, our best friends were on a 2 week holiday in Cornwall, so we went down to join them for the eclipse. We have a photo of the group of 6 of us with our eclipse glasses on, all pointing in different directions as we honestly had no idea where the sun was as it was just so cloudy.
It did go dark and the birds did get confused, so it was (kind of) worth it then.
Today, it dimmed a teeny bit, but I'd read we wouldn't notice much difference at 86%, so I wasn't disappointed.

Next we have a total lunar eclipse on 28th September. I think it's about 3am, so I'll see what the weather's looking like then
