Yes that is right nuthatch. The only ones that are visiting. Still they have the pick of all the lovely food I put out. They are doing fine, and will be ok for hibernation, whenever that may be. Was feeding a juvenile last year right up to December I think.

Saw a hedgie last night so dashed out with an egg yolk. I'd stopped putting them out as I was sure the cats had been having them all of late.
I don't know whether the hedgie found it or the fox had it later.
I have been thinking of putting the egg yolk dish more hidden amongst the shrubs in the border

could give that a try nuthatch. I have found out now that the twins I have come across the road to get to my garden. Just like tiny used to do.

I did that, Willpar - put the dish in the border where I know they always snuffle around and the egg was gone this morning - could be that foxy ate it - hope it wasn't Moggo. The peanut ground feeder was pulled out a bit, which looked like foxy work

Despite that it has rained all night here, the twins were out and about eating as much as they could.
