Another yellow hammer in the lane this morning. Same lane as the one i spotted in March.

Herring gull in the garden again.

Back again on the wood pigeon feeder.

Well done on the Yellowhammer but I not sure you should be pleased by the return of the Gull.

Thank you JS. The gull hangs around quite a bit, but don`t always come into the garden.

A fledgling Jackdaw arrived in my garden this afternoon much to the consternation of my resident Blackbirds. Their reaction to any Jackdaw is to start twitting furiously along with mock attacks to try and scare off the trespasser. The poor fledgling had no idea what was expected of it and just sat there ducking when necessary and giving the odd occasional squawk. A parent bird did turn up but I didn't see any attempt to feed the young bird.

Not seen a young jackdaw for many years.

I saw fledgling Goldfinches today plus one fledgling Greenfinch.

For me today, an adult wood pigeon bought in a fledgling to the feeder this morning. And later a jackdaw came on the same feeder.

A fledgling Wood Pigeon turned up today.
