I haven't seen much activity recently.

I had a horrid shock yesterday. As I came out of my house I could see this shape in the middle of the road outside next door. It was brown with a great big red bit. Nervously I approached it with my heart in my mouth.

Only to find out it was a Macdonald's bag with a red chip box. Phew. I really thought I'd had a squished one.
I gave hubby a row for not picking it up and putting it in the bin so I wouldn't see it. He told me that if it was a squished hog, he would have removed it, but since it was rubbish, he left it.

Seen last night that both my juveniles were in the garden, so went out with a box and caught them. Took them both inside to weigh them as I was curious. They are both doing just fine. larger one came in at 607gr and the smaller was 522gr. That's an ok weight for this time of year. I think they will possibly be out for several more weeks yet. Mind you I forgot to dulux them. Will do that next week sometime.

I'd only tippexed one earlier, but I did 2 last night, so there's my 3. Fatty, medium and smaller. The small one didn't seem quite as small when he wasn't next to fatty :)

I have just seen THE cutest thing ever. There were 2 small hedgehogs eating off the ground feeder. They were cheek to cheek and you could only see 2 eyes. I swear they were both eating the same mealworm on occasion.

I did nab both of them and they were just under 400g which is a bit small for this time of year, but they looked healthy enough and they know where to come.

They are a bit light for the time of year joomoo. May pay to keep checking the weight. Need to be 5-600gr for hibernation. 600 is more ideal depending on what sort of winter we have.

Yes, I figure they will be OK out there for a few more weeks to fill their bellies. Although the one that I've just been out watching didn't have food on his mind.

I saw him arrive with the medium hog who looked twice his size. They seemed friendly enough. The larger one just ignored Titch. All Titch wanted to do was toss Larger over. He went round and round, sticking his nose under its belly, and really getting on his nerves. Titch would just get in the way on the feeder.
Larger then went over to the half coconut shell that had more food in. What did Titch do? Go and stand inside that.
I saw them disappear into the distance, Titch's nose practically attached to Larger's bum.
I wish my camera would pick them up.
