I heard that too. Rescue is on red alert in case it beaches.
Proves that The Thames is still clean so that's all good.

Fire rescue service and an ambulance here across the road. Looks like they had to gain entry to a house. Someone was on a stretcher and put in an ambulance well wrapped up in a blue blanket. Not left yet though.

Toady is AA Milne's 137th birthday anniversary so we should all go for a walk and play Poohsticks down at the stream.

Yesterday is history,
Tomorrow is a mystery,
But toady is a Gift.
(Which is why we call it The Present.)

The day started off well enough. Cold start but the sunshine was good, and was looking forward to my walk. But you never know what you may encounter along the way. I was into the last leg of my walk, cutting through a field to the gate in the lane. But there was something yellow the other side of the gate. Once I got there, could see it was an ambulance. Went through the gate and there were three police cars parked in the lane also, so I guessed it must be bad. Blue do not cross tape across the bridal way also. Was a community policeman on guard, so being nosey I asked what was going down. An elderly lady had collapsed farther down the path around fifty feet away was the reply. Could see ambulance men there and some police officers. So anyways I carried on talking with the guard and then after a while, the ambulance men came up and drove off. Was not long before a white van arrived with coroner on it, so I guessed the lady had not made it. They took a body bag down with them. Then another small van arrived and a woman got out with a camera, she was CSI, to do her job. Stayed there a little longer, and the policeman said when they bring her up would I mind moving away. So I said I will be leaving before then. Just never know how your day is going to turn out.

That is such a shame, Willpar; as you say, you just never know. Hope it was just natural causes.

Don't know why the cop said it was an elderly lady, as it was a man . It is in the local paper.

That's the way life is. None of us know what awaits us just around the corner. :(
