Just seen this, should have been NOT welcome in the garden, but they do scarper as soon as they see me. Lady across the road that moved in around three years ago has got two of them. Did notice that one has a bell, but not sure about the other one. But they are getting the message when they see me.
Ah that makes more sense

. But JS is right, they tend to invite themselves into our gardens

For most of the last couple of months I have been putting Hedgehog food out. Some nights some was taken and some nights none. I knew it was taken by the intended animal as they often left me a little thankyou,

However over the past week most morning I have been greeted with an empty bowl and no "little thankyous"

The only other animal that will eat the food in that quantity is a cat and I know I get nocturnal visits most of the time from at least one. The manufacturers of the food(The Ark) admit cats like it. My solution is to suspend supply for a while to persuade the greedy moggy to look elsewhere. Sorry Hogs!

Get cats passing through here all of the time. Have feeders for the dry food that the cats don`t get into.

I share your pain JS. I get lots of cats here that used to do jobs in the garden. But not lately. When they see me now they run away.

They run from me too but come back after they think I've gone to bed.

I have resorted to desperate measure to try and reduce the number of cat visits. I have bought a couple of boxes of the pellets advertised to contain lion dung which we are told cats hate. I have sprinkled them around the place that the cats are favouring at the moment so we will see how good they work. If I'm honest my expectations are not high.

Was reading about that just a couple of days ago, but don't get your hopes up from what I read. Get them myself but not in numbers anymore. With fledglings around now they will be on the hunt.
