Some much needed rain here this morning. Not heavy, just steady. Now I will be able to hear the grass grow.

A very heavy thunderstorm at 5 pm. Wonderful !! I reckon about an inch fell in half an hour. The scents afterwards were ooooooohhhh !!

That looks like the one we had earlier, Nuthatch.
Rained again during the night and right now it's becoming quite dark. More on the way, I think.
The wetness is quite crucial at the present moment because my mixed seeds (eschscholtzia, digitalis, nasturtium and calendula) are popping through with no help whatsoever from a week of dry, hot weather.
Bless .......

All wet around here this morning. Was raining slightly when I got up, but never came to much. Not a very good start to the day.

Rain in the night. Early on this morning I watched a dunnock right out in the open on the lawn, sitting in the grass and flapping its wings as though it was in water, bathing. It was having a sort of grass-bath (??).
