Not a great day in the valley this morning Hazel but I saw the nipper out on the derelict shed. They are a little odd. If you approach them directly they just fly off. If you approach them and look the other way they just stay there and if you are sneaky you can get a few shots

My first walk since moving from the Midlands to the North, a walk along the Leeds Liverpool canal to Bingley and I heard the distinctive call of an Oyster catcher, then noticed this little one in the canal, the juvenile. Odd place for an Oyster catcher, but there we are
