I saw at least 50-60 tit family members flying around together today

. I know they sometimes fly in groups, and I've seen them before, but I've never seen so many of them flying together. When I saw them from afar I thought its a group of starlings as they fly in big groups, only when they came closer I realised they are smaller and are actually blue/coal/great tits
I didn't know they flocked either. I wonder if the migrate around the country in flocks?

I've seen them flock together in smaller groups sometimes, I think they tend to do that when their chicks fledge, showing them feeding places and teaching them how to look for food etc. And I've seen them in cold weather too, but not always, and in groups of 8-12 maybe. LTTs are always flocking in bigger groups, but not other tits family members.
But today was really extraordinary, the group was just huge

Have seen LTTs in groups of about thirty but never seen any of the other Tit families in groups.

On my walk this morning, noticed three buzzards soaring around the skies. Not too far from home.

I saw the Song Thrush again today. It appeared to be eating Ivy berries which I thought was a bit odd as invertibrates were available.

I have a Song Thrush that comes in every day. Cracking snail's shell and devouring them. Tends to feed at the bottom of the hedge. Today I think it was sheltering in the hedge about a foot from the ground (apologies not the best pic).

Very nice peregrine. Not had a song thrush for several years now.

I've had 3 blackbirds (male) and a couple of females eating in the garden at the same time last few days, not together but not chasing each other either, which is very unusual I thought

. I would have though that males would be more territorial

Very nice butterfly. I would say the male blackbird would be more territorial with other males, though i could be wrong.
