I have been getting Brimstones popping by for the last few weeks but today I was blessed with a Holly Blue.

A good Butterfly day today. More Holly Blues and a Brimstone or two followed by the first sighting this year of Orange Tips.

Broke my butterfly duck yesterday and forgot to report - first one of this year was an orange-tip .
I was reminded that I forgot by the fact that today another one came by . This one was also white and the same size but the rain had washed its orange tips off.

The females don't have the orange tips to their wings.

Aaaaahhh, right. That might explain it then. I thought it looked familiarly similar
