It's the same here - a family of 3 dunnocks and Best Mate robin; oh yes, and a few ferals

.
Thing is, it happens every single year and I'm always surprised by it

There's no point squandering any savings as there is next year's feeding frenzy to finance.

Becoming more convinced that they are returning to their haunts in my garden.
For mumfs now I've been feeding only 3 times a day (on the ground) but all this week it has been 4. (I make it a rule that all grub is gone by 6 pm-ish.).
Today I added a small extra feed at 5 pm due to overwhelming demand - robin, couple of sparrows, 3 blackies.

, 2 collies.

I have so many empty coconut shells I have tried to make my own fat cakes ,they are eating them up so they cannot be to bad.

If you can bash coconut shells into wee enough pieces they make a good mulch.
Errrmmm: soap dishes, bowls, bras, bird houses .......
