The Man says that when the big snow event currently engaging the east coast of USA heads our way it will manifest itself as heavy, prolonged rain and high winds.
And guess where it will make landfall ...... Cumbria !!! :(

The Man says that Storm Imogen is mostly affecting the far south, well last night it was HERE !!!!!! The rain was bashing so hard against the windows that it drowned out the sound of the howling wind.
Today it's just rain and hungry birds.

I had to be out in it this morning. It nearly swept me off my feet,
Remember the dormouse bridges that were built near me? One of them got blown down. Myst have been a rather fat dormouse that made the difference :)

Been a right howler here today. Some flooding, trees blown down and walls blown down. Over head power lines. Not a nice night or day.

I just had to go out to pick up hubby from train station.
As I drove up an unlit bypass there was the heaviest sleet blizzard I've ever had to drive through. The blobs were massive and I had the wipers on full and could only go 30mph as I couldn't see anything. Horrid.

Lovely and crispy under foot this morning. Sun is out now, looks lovely. I feel a walk coming on through the farmers fields.
