And at about 5:30, I looked up to see the little one going to the feeder again. He went in the station as I ran around to the back door. I got myself all ready to nab him, but I wanted to see what he was going to do. After a little feed he came out, had a drink then shot off. He didn't alter his path, he went straight around to the front and into the newly positioned feeder there. I only just managed to open the gate and duck my head to see him go into it. I did have a quick peek inside and he was there.

I phoned my hoggy lady for a chat and she was a bit undecided on what to do. So we agreed to leave him tonight, but if I do see him again, that's it, he's off to hog camp for her to fatten him up.

He seems to have settled into your garden really well, JooMoo - maybe he's just a little bit afraid of the dark or lost his Mum too early

Bang on half 5 again, the little one came for his food. I know it was 5:30 as the shopping delivery man was late.
I grabbed him and put him in a box until I'd sorted out my shopping, phoned the hog lady and arranged to take him to her.
When we got there, she had a look.She though he seemed OK, but his eyes were sunken. He was about 380g
While we were sorting out another hog for me to bring home for release, I was holding him. He just seemed very alert and tame. He didn't curl up or prickle. I had him wrapped in a duster, but I was stroking his head and nose. I put him close to one of the other hogs and he was very interested.
I hope that he recovers from anything that he might have and comes back home soon.
The new guy's name is Ken and I popped him into a hog house and trailed food down to the main feeder. I've not seen him yet.

This is Laytie. He's the little one who's gone to the hog-spa And this is Ken, the new hog on the block. Apparently he was picked up as a baby as he was orphaned.

A hedgie was down by the vegetable trugs last night

Lovely Joomoo, hope the little one is ok.The Pics are lovely.

Little one was over the way last night. Never seen it until I went over with the second lot of food.Was tucking into the first lot.

Laytie is a delight but Ken looks a bit grumpy.

He'd been stuck in a box for an hour and then put in the sink (not for a bath, just so he didn't run off) No wonder he was grumpy.

And he did find his way down to the main feeder.
