Hedgehogs are absolutely gorgeous.
I once rescued one when i was driving to work. I saw it crossing the road in front of me with a McDonalds ice cream pot stuck on its head, it must have put his head through the circle in the lid as it looked for food, so i pulled over and went over to him, then grabbed the ice cream pot and gently pulled it off, the hedgehog had ice cream over his face as he scurried away.

They certainly are. I am blessed that I live around a hedgehog highway, and get more than my fair share. Well done for helping the hedgehog.

Thanks! Do you ever put food out for them?

Hi Savanna, yes I put out food for them. I buy dry hedgehog food online, and I also get some cat biscuits from my local supermarket. Have four feeding stations around the property.

Hi!
Sounds like your hedgehogs are friends for life!
I used to put food out for a stray cat, not sure if that counts as a wild animal though, but i fed him regularly and put fresh water out, and in the winter i put a towel in my bin cupboard so he had somewhere to shelter.

Well done helping the cat. I put out two cameras each night to keep tabs on the hedgehogs. The feeder up in the garden, not so busy, but the one by my door is quite busy.
