Watched that too. A very lonely, difficult to understand condition. We have it in the fambly and it's not easy, on either side.
A brave man, Chris Packham, hats off to him. His autobio was serialised on R.4 some time ago.
His agony during childhood when a dear animal died was heart-rending. A kestrel it was and like most Asperger's sufferers he loved and lost too much. And now as a grown man he's dreading the approaching death of his dog 'cos he knows what will happen. A terrible thing.

Winterwatch starts on the 29th January, BBC2. Monday and Thursday 9pm, Tuesday and Wednesday 8pm.

I thought winterwatch was very good. Like the farmer helping those cirl buntings. A lovely bird. There is a colony down near the beach, but i have never spotted them.

Good stuff as always. Can't wait for Springwatch when all the new life has the cameras on it. I watched the bluetit box at work the whole time! It was fascinating.

I watched Hugh Fearnly-Whitingstall's programme about the birds and animals on the Somerset Levels on BBC2 at 6pm this evening. If you didn't see it and have an hour to while away watch it on catchup.
