One of the starlings on one of the feeding trays had a white tail feathers

. Very peculiar to see something like that. It really stood out

First for me in many a year. 4 long tailed tits came into the hawthorn this afternoon.

I saw a wren today eating from half coconut suet

, I'm so thrilled to see it, this is the first time I see that little delightful bird in my garden
There was also a great spotted woodpecker, who scared away all the birds, but it didn't stay long. Dunnock was there too

Very busy garden indeed, I'm thinking of implementing a ticket system for the feeders

First spot for many years: a redwing

!!!
In the rowan tree with blackbirds. It came back many times; saw it about 6 times between 11.30 and 3.30. Full up with Vit C by dusk !!

I only get them when the weather takes a turn for the worse.

Yesterday there were three

. Maybe the 'one' I saw on Sunday were singular visits from three ??
Aaaanyway, intriguingly I noticed that yesterday it/they were much more adept at reaching the rowan berries than the day before. Mulling it over during the night

I saw a blackcap today for the first time

. He helped himself to a few suet pellets and flew off. I hope it comes back on regular basis, such a nice looking bird
