Good point - I almost did that - glad I didn't now - I don't think I could face it yet

I suppose that was why so many systems went down over a couple of days.

I haven't tried to do anything too complicated(as if  ) up to now and already the business of just surfing the net has become second nature. Even Mrs.JS :wife: seems to be coping OK. One thing I have noticed is that prior to upgrading I seemed to be getting screen freezing with windows 7 fairly regularly and so far(touch wood) it has not happened since. :)

I have been off line for a day or two because of a major malware infection. It took Microsoft Support 3 goes to remove it all and was a major PITA.
The infection was more to do with the Microsoft Edge browser than W10 and I have no idea where I picked it up from. The first clue anything was amiss is when unasked for adverts started popping up on the screen as fast as I could delete them followed by a pop-up and a verbal warning that I had a major infection called "Zeus" and giving me number to phone to have it removed. It is, of course , a major scam and the last thing you should do is call the number and I didn't but be warned(if you use Edge) it could be you next and it is not a happy experience. :(
PS I am now using Google Chrome as my main browser.

I was asked to let Microsoft update my Windows 10 today. I duly obliged and it took two hours :( . I have had a read through the exiting new benefits and find none of them will help me with my daily pootering. There may be hidden benefits but I have yet to discover them
