Thank you jacksparrow. I had to set the time to BST today, so while i was at it i also set the camera to 4K. Just to see what improvement the resolution will be. But the setting i had it on looked pretty good on my television.

Many thanks JS. It was a lovely surprise to see the goldfinch having a drink. Don`t get them very often. Have a question to ask. Is it a woodmouse or a vole? Put that feeder down by the wall for the blackbirds, but the starlings found it. Even put some dried mealworms by the front door, and the starlings found them as well. Even a sparrow. The bird bath is so popular now, i have to top it up 3-4 times a day. Good idea Kev.

I've had another look and I still think it is a mouse. You should know that you can't hide food from Starlings. They watch very carefully where other birds are going and follow suit.

This is just an experiment. I had seen on a trail camera site a set of close up lenses and an adapter. It has +1 +2 +4 and +10. have to stick the adapter over the lens with black tac, and then screw the close up lens into that. The video below was with a +2 @ 20 inches with the trail cam set on a tripod. The trail camera i used was just a 12mp one that i had But would suffice for the experiment. Worked quite well and with a more mp camera should be better.
