I have decided not to eat any of them as they look so splendid. Two of the three caps are now fully spread and I will let them take their course in the hope of a bigger crop next year.

It is not unusual for my Dog Rose to produce a late flower or two but it is usually in September. This year's offering was a single flower which I spotted yesterday. :)
