Re: chit chat
We're going again in July and then again in September ! Different places each time, but in the general area of Fordingbridge. The dogs love it!greg wrote:I'm off to the sunny New Forest tomorrow for a week. Hope I can get a Wi-Fi connection to keep in touch.

You've made me think, we don't have a doggie thread. I think I shall start one, even though I don't have a dog

My good deed for the day
This tiny Bumble Bee was in the bottom of the moth trap this morning. A friendly fellow who readily posed for a photograph. Then I realised, this was not how Bees behave. It had been trapped and was exhausted. So I gave it a feed of honey ( what else for a Bee ! ).
Photo 3 shows it tucking in to the honey. Within half an hour it had flown away

Re: chit chat
I found an exhausted bee once just lying on the grass. Gave it sugar water and it was fine shortly afterwards.

Re: chit chat
WELL !!! I didn't know that. Now I won't have to buy a jar of honey (which I was absolutely intending to do !!).
