It doesn't have to be a word, just any four letters - right??

You's confuzzed, Placi ? you brought the game to us in days of yore - have you changed the rules for a bit of a larf ?

P.S. Is it ok to have a phrase instead of a sentence - has that changed too? :)

Yes Nuthatch, I did find the FLS topic originally (I nicked it from another forum I was shadowing when I was a Mod) but didn't we link up each new 4-letter word previously ?? We used to have stuff like "PEAS - BEAN - BEET - LEEK" which LINKED (there's the clue !!!!) or rhymed. Here's an example of a R-H-Y-M-I-N-G sequence: "BEET - MEET - FEET".
And now it seems that any ole 4-letter rubbidge goes . Where's the humour - and modicum of skill - in that ?? Some of the links used to be hilarious (I thought) because a new 4-letter word would jump from the obvious link to the funny.

For the avoidance of doubt: I haven't changed anything, I'm still attempting to make sense of "stib" and random stuff like that.
I have no probs with phrases or sentences I'd just like to make sense of what's going on and why it changed  .

Placi - there was no linking for a long time then some people started doing it to be funny and/or clever, liven things up a bit ..... but not everybody did it - that's my recollection anyhow .....

The only other rule was that the sentence had to have something to do with nature.

I had one of they klurs on the hedge this afternoon - making a right bleedin noise, it was :grumpy:
