So if anyone is interested in my whopper Swan with satellite tag I got a response from the guy at Slimbridge as I sent him a couple of photos.

I haven’t yet had an update from this bird’s GPS tag, however from comparing the bill patterns from your image to the image we took at capture in Iceland in 2024, I can confirm this is the same individual. All of their bill patterns are unique to the individual, alike our fingerprints!
I’ll add your sighting to our database, good to get this
Good stuff Linda, so he hasn't confirmed it was last years bird? He didn't compare bill marking to last winters pic?

Okay back to basics for PB
Twas a miserable day yesterday for my birthday so only put Xmas tree up after a wee hour or so at the Haugh.....its gonna be a brighter day today so ajust need to go back up...me and the peregrine have u finished business

At no point did you say you had sent one of last years images, and he said looking at your IMAGE (singular!) so at no point were we, the avid reader, made aware of which image he was comparing to. So I'll accept your apology for misleading messages, and now you can wind ya neck back in!!

Ffs...I replied to message from this year which still had photos attached or a wouldn't even know the guys email and I attached new photos
My bad I should have given you ALL the facts PB, even access to my emails so you could have whole picture. Poor guy was typing from Glasgow Airport waiting to take off in storm Bram....hopefully that helps
