Hey guys,
So if anyone is interested in my whopper Swan with satellite tag I got a response from the guy at Slimbridge as I sent him a couple of photos.
Hi Linda,
Great stuff, many thanks for this.
I haven’t yet had an update from this bird’s GPS tag, however from comparing the bill patterns from your image to the image we took at capture in Iceland in 2024, I can confirm this is the same individual. All of their bill patterns are unique to the individual, alike our fingerprints!
I’ll add your sighting to our database, good to get this

Good stuff Linda, so he hasn't confirmed it was last years bird? He didn't compare bill marking to last winters pic?Linda257 wrote: Fri Dec 12, 2025 8:45 am Hey guys,
